Hurrah, hurrah hurrah my Efuto finally made if all the way from Julie Hamilton in Canada after a false start.
I was so excited I photographed it in the mailbox!
Most people may not know what "Eftuo" means but it is Japanese for picture envelope: the whole thing started some months ago when I found a little book on sale at the Tate Liverpool of just this very thing. It was so splendid that I mentioned to a large international group of surface pattern designers about it and a lot seemed very excited at the idea so about 50 or so creative ladies started designing and then sending out pretty patterned mail art to another person - a little bit like a chain letter of sorts.

So there you have it - a colourful bit of mail art in an ordinarily drab French mailbox.
Happy days!
